Meet Gustavo, a brave 9-year-old boy who has conquered all odds! 💪💙 His journey is a testament to the power of hope and the incredible impact of our work in Latin America.
Gustavo was born in 2014 with a complex congenital heart disease called double outlet right ventricle causing cyanosis and limitations in physical activity. After being told his condition was unsolvable, his family sought help at the Children’s Pediatric Hospital of Acosta Ñu. Following two years of follow-up, Gustavo underwent a 4-hour surgery that corrected his defect.
Today, at 9 years old, Gustavo is an active, intelligent child with no signs of his previous condition. He’s currently in the 4th grade and excelling in school, particularly in mathematics. He even dreams of becoming a doctor one day!
